5. Five things I learned were..
1. You can have the best product and the best website but if you can't get customers you wont make money.
2. Before you sell a product make sure their is a demand for it or else you will not get sales.
3. If the website aren't easy to use and simple to find products customers will not purchase and will end up leaving the website empty handed
4. Always understand how customers use the products, their purchase patterns, and the other interests.
5. When building an E-Commerce site be sure to hire a professional web designer as he or she would do a better job.

While reading the two articles on E-Commerce, there were five things that I found interesting. The first thing that I found interesting was that, many businesses have become extremely successful and profitable through online sales. Small and large companies can both benefit from marketing and selling their products online. I also found it interesting that, if you are setting up a website to sell products you can purchase ecommerce software. I did not know that it could be that simple for small business owners to create a website. However, I learned from the other article that making money on the internet is not as easy as it seems. It actually takes a lot of hard work and determination. It was also interesting to find out that your website needs to be simple. If people find your website complicated and filled with clutter, they will not end up buying anything. Finally, it was also fascinating to find out that the experts are not always right. It is even truer for the Internet. No one has really been involved in Electronic Commerce for more than a few years and technology is still moving quickly. Those are the five things I found interesting while reading the two articles on e-commerce.

Five things that I’ve found interesting from the two articles are:
Setting up an online store. I found this part interesting because you are able to make a website for anything. In the article “The Basics of eCommerce”, explained what you need to set-up an online store. From the article, it states that “you can purchase one of the various ready made software applications”, this means that the different software that are available are help you set up the basics of an online store. But to make your store original, you would have a Web programer to code the website. Although it costs a lot more, it would be beneficial in the long run.
I found the advantages and disadvantages of eCommerce interesting because I enjoy online shopping a lot and I haven’t thought about things that are taking place. For a disadvantage that hasn’t crossed my mind is you cannot easily return the item or get support. This point I found very interesting because I never needed to return anything I received yet and now I know that this could become a problem for me in the future and I should be careful what I decide to buy.
You have to be careful what you sell because not everyone is willing to order stuff online that they won’t need. It surprised me that it is a common mistake that small business’ make. This shows how careful you have to because it may be a good idea, but you must has a way to show that your product/service is better than your competition.
I find “Simple sites sell successfully” interesting because I haven’t really thought about how google being a simple site that everyone uses on their daily life doesn’t use any fancy colours, graphics or anything it is just a simple site that can do a lot.
Lastly; “The Experts aren’t always right” interests me because there are many people that you will meet are involved in electronic commerce for a few or more years but everything is always growing and evolving with technology. It is your business so you should follow your instincts,

• Marketing Is King, You have to be able to know your product. Even thou your products can be the best if you do not know how to market it, it is useless. You should know how to do marketing like the internet. You should know how to attract customers in order to be better.
• If they can’t find it they won’t buy it, Customers are searching in the net which gives you an opportunity to let them see how your products do. Customers buy things that can benefit them and easy access to it.
• You can’t sell what they don’t want, if you had great products but your main goal is to know what customers want to buy. Even though you sell hand made soap it is not really worth it. You should learn how you can promote a product that a lot of people want. You should think of yourself as customer to think like one and see what the things that can benefit them.
• Traditional Sales, It is a way of selling stuff by calling on the phone. Which you have to be active in doing this type of business. If you do not do anything you will not earn anything.
• Online Commerce, This has a method similar to email. You can make an online catalogue in order to see the products you have. You can be able to see all the features of all the stuff you have to offer. It is easy way to let them know what benefits they can get to it.

One of the things I found interesting that there are software applications that can make your online business for you but you cannot customize it since it creates the online business based on a template. I found this interesting because I didn't think people would sell premade templates of an online business since people usually prefer having an online business customized to their liking. I also found it interesting that making money through the Internet isn't actually easy because I thought since so many people use the Internet, it would be easy to find customers. I think it is interesting how people stop shopping at a website if it the website is slow at loading pages or the checkout stage is too complex because I thought people would be patient when they checkout since they may not be able to find the product they are buying at the same price anywhere. It's interesting how the experts of e-commerce aren't always right because usually experts are experts because they know a lot about e-commerce so their opinion should be right. I think it is interesting how simple sites are more successful because I assume more complex websites are an indication of effort so therefore they should be more successful. However, simple websites seem to be more successful due to how straightforward and clutter-free they are.

i) I found it interesting that in the Electronic Commerce article, it says that if making money on the web was easy, we'd all be doing it. This is odd because I feel that making money on the web is actually quite simple. There are sites such as YouTube which allow you to create videos and making easy money off of it. I can say this first hand as me and Daniel have already made $10 off of simple YouTube videos.

ii) I believe that the statement "If they can't find it, they won't but it" is very true because I know that usually I won't spend more than 5 minutes trying to search for something. The World Wide Web is a huge place where there are billions of things that can be searched for. So, it is important that if you are marketing a product, you make it unique and easy to find.

iii) The article says that the experts aren't always right, and I believe that this is true because everyone has their own unique way of creating their product or website. One person may say that your site is bad, whereas another person may say that is the best site they've ever seen. If you are trying to appeal to the general public, I suggest that you make your website simple and easy to use.

iv) If you can make your website appealing, it means that you will have more people spending more time on the site. If people are spending more time on the site, that means that there is a greater chance for them to purchase something, or tell their friends or family about something that was on your site.

v) Purchasing things online has created a whole new world of business. It has also made purchasing products much easier and faster. Online business has allowed older people who may not be able to leave their houses a chance to still have a chance to "go shopping". All in all, I think besides the risk of online theft (which is really low), eCommerce was a great addition to the online world.

1. Its interesting to think that many people might think its easy to make money over the Internet than to make money by getting an actual job. However, it is proven that it is much more difficult to make money online because it requires a lot of hard work, determination, and planning.
2. A successful business understands their customers. They are able to determine and point out patterns and their customer's ways. If you don't know these basic things about your customer, you're likely to fail your own business.
3. A website should be simple, easy to access, and easy to find. Customers will be disappointed and get bored if your website is slow or if it tsakes a long process to get to the checkout stage. Customers require fast and immediate service.
4. There are many disadvantages and advantages for the buyer and the disadvantages include, paying for shipping and having to wait for the delivery, not being able to see the actual product before making the purchase, and not being able to easily return a bought item or get help. The advantages include, being able to find hard-to-get items from his or her home, a reduced cost, and an automated cost-comparison that is available for every item.
5. There are also many disadvantages and advantages for the seller as well. The disadvantages include, not being able to receive personal contact and having to get to know the customers and visiting the site often. The advantages include, the available access to worldwide markets and being able to compete with larger companies.

The five important things I learned from the 2 articles are:

1. Before starting a business over the Internet, you have to mind two factors: that there's a market for your product or service, and that your business is unique/different from other businesses. For example, if you start a fashion business online that sells clothing over the Internet, you may not be as successful as a physical clothing store (i.e. American Eagle). Online stores do not allow the customer to try on the product or see what it looks like in person, which discourages many buyers. Unless this online clothing store has many unique and nice products, customers are not likely to purchase these products.

2. The longer a consumer is on your site and viewing your products, the more likely they are to make a purchase. Business owners can attract customers using eye-catching graphics and aesthetically appealing designs. The longer a customer is on a site, browsing through products, the more they’ll be tempted to buy something.

3. If you are an online business owner, you must know the routine that accompanies a purchase. Firstly the customer must give certain information about himself. Usually this is name, address, and e-mail. Next there must be an acceptable method of payment: credit card or billing information must be gathered to prevent technical difficulty. Third, the eCommerce owner must find a way to process the customer’s payment information. Finally, the customer must receive the confirmation of the sale.

4. There are several advantages and disadvantages of eCommerce for the seller. The advantages include: access to worldwide markets, minimal sales costs, can compete with larger companies, can track purchases and use data to recommend other items to the customer. The disadvantages include: no personal contact with consumers, expense of getting popular (servers, etc.), and you must get people to know about and visit the site.

5. There are also several advantages and disadvantages of eCommerce for the buyer. The advantages include: can find hard-to-get items from the comfort of his or her home, reduced cost, and automated cost-comparison available. The disadvantages include: must pay for shipping and wait for delivery, cannot see or feel the product before making a decision, and cannot easily return an item or get support.

Reading these two articles I found several things very interesting. One thing that specifically caught my attention was in order to sell over the internet and be successful you need to keep the user on your website for as long as you can. Adding eye catching backgrounds or fonts can help the customer stay on the website long. Another thing I found very interesting was ecommerce is a business where products and services are advertised and bought over the internet. Something I never knew before was online commerce is a way people can order things off of a catalog either online or by mailing there order. Something I never thought about before was how dangerous online shopping can be, you’re just adding products to your ‘shopping cart’ and it’s completely taking advantage of your wallet, On top of that your paying for shipping. These companies make a ridiculous amount of money.

1. I know the ways of operations of traditional sales and online commerce. I can see if we can use ecommerce, we needn’t do lots of things personally like buying some outside, getting goods and paying something by cash. It is confident for us. And we can also find something that we can’t find in the usual life like some creative and advanced goods. Online catalog and shopping cart can also help us to have various selections.
2. What I am interested is the advantages and disadvantages to buyer. If I want to apply ecommerce, I need to consider them.
3. And I know the elements that if I want to start an ecommerce. I can make a summary for it. Firstly, you should advertise by some advertisements or posts. Secondly, you should have enough resource of goods and set up a catalog. Then you should be able to receive money and deliver you goods. And finally, if you want to get along your business well, you have to provide after-the-sell support.
You have responsibility to your goods.
4. If they can’t find it, they won’t buy it. I used ecommerce before. It is the same situation like the article. The selection is too much to me. I won’t open everyone or watch everyone unless it has some attractive points for me like advertisements or some bright color. So attracting the view of buyers is very important.
5. Marketing is king. Not only for ecommerce, for lots of business, is it important.
I will never know or visit a web site, if there is no one telling me that. You should let you buyer know your web site and attract them. That is the first step to develop your ecommerce.

1. A website is a very important aspect of E-Commerce. If a company is to be successful, they must have an attractive website. This will attract customers and bring in money from all over the world.

2. Customer service pages are very beneficial to your business, since you can remedy customer issues. This will give your company more credibility.

3. You must consider consumer demand before marketing your product, especially online. You may end up going into debt if you're not careful.

4. Online stores do have their downfalls, since it's over the internet, and not in person. Some consumers prefer to see what they're buying up close, and not have to order it online.

5. An advantage of being an online market is that you can compete with other big markets, and most things are cheaper. The internet is a great place to market your products.

The first thing i found interesting is that you can make money while you are sleeping or doing anything using E-Commerce.
Secondly, I learned that advertising is key in the business, you must put adds for people to find your website.
Thirdly, You must sell a product that people will be interested and is unique.
Fourthly, you must invest in having a decent site that actually does what you need it to do, or the people will just not care about the site.
Lastly, The more time you spend on your site to make it as close as what you want it to be, will mean you will make more money because people will see you actually put some work to this business and know what you are doing.

In the article it said to make sure your eCommerce website should look professional if you want success. I strongly agree because, amateur looking websites are usually ones you don’t want to trust. The low-effort makes you believe that the website could be lying or trying to scam you, even if this isn’t necessarily true. This sense of suspicion is multiplied greatly when your money is involved.

The article says that you need to know your consumer demand before marketing a product. This is true because, lots of money and time can be spent on a product, especially on marketing. If the products ends up falling flat, all that will go to waste.

Being able to sell worldwide with eCommerce is very important and one of the main reason it is so popular. In a regular physical store, your customers are limited to where they live and how accessible your shop is. When your business is available to everyone, it’s has much more potential for success than one located in a field.

Another main feature of eCommerce is the ability to find and purchase obscure items. There is much more selection online, as it’s much easier for independent entrepreneurs to sell their product, meaning different kinds of items can be produced and sold.

Customer service is very important to am eCommerce website. Even the most well-made site could be hard to navigate for inexperienced internet users. A support page not only adds professionalism to your business, but makes it easier for customers to buy your products as well.
